Guided tour of the Basilica of St. Anthony in Padua where lies the tomb of the Saint, Prato della Valle, one of the biggest green squares in Europe and the Jewish Quarter.
The construction of the Basilica of St. Anthony started in 1232 and its main areas were finished by the end of the XIII Century. The style of the Church is Romanesque and Gothic at times, creating a contrasting and original building.
Prato della Valle as it looks today was built at the end of the XVIII Century. Its peculiar shape and configuration are distinguishing of the City of Padova.
The Jewish Ghetto is a labyrinth of streets operative between 1603 and 1797, when after the French Revolution Jewish people were declaired free and equal.
At the end of the tour, participants will be able to taste local wine or do sport activities yet to be define.
