Welcome Cocktail

The welcome cocktail is an occasion for all participants to meet and interact with each other, while enjoying local apetizers and musical entertainment. It will be held in Palazzo della Ragione, built between 1306 and 1308, right in front of the Piazza delle Erbe. Inside Palazzo della Ragione, visitors are able to see the original frescoes and the 5,75 m tall wooden horse that was built in 1466 and that represents ne of the symbols of Padova.

Opening and welcome cocktail with entertainement at Palazzo della Ragione and Piazza delle Erbe.

Conference dinner

Friday, July 15th 2022, 08.30 pm
Participation is included in all the registration fees.

The Conference dinner will be accompanied by musical entertainment and held at the Caffé Pedrocchi, a historic Paduan caffé, open since 1831. The Caffé Pedrocchi is one of the symbols of the city, recognized as one of the most exclusive venues in the city center where the most important and spectacular events are held.

Guided walking tour of Padua and local wine tasting:

Prato della Valle, Basilica of St. Anthony in Padua, ancient Jewish Quarter

Guided tour of the Basilica of St. Anthony in Padua where lies the tomb of the Saint, Prato della Valle, one of the biggest green squares in Europe and the Jewish Quarter.

The construction of the Basilica of St. Anthony started in 1232 and its main areas were finished by the end of the XIII Century. The style of the Church is Romanesque and Gothic at times, creating a contrasting and original building.

Prato della Valle as it looks today was built at the end of the XVIII Century. Its peculiar shape and configuration are distinguishing of the City of Padova.

The Jewish Ghetto is a labyrinth of streets operative between 1603 and 1797, when after the French Revolution Jewish people were declared free and equal.

At the end of the tour, participants will be able to taste local wine.

Sport activity – Orienteering

Come and discover the city of Padova with our Photo Orienteering event!
We will show you the city with a really physically as well as mentally active experience.
We’ll give you a map and clues to find the checkpoints. What you’ll need to do is find the points that are marked on the map and take a picture of the monument. Do it faster than all the others and you’ll be the winner!
So… Bring with you your sense of direction, your phone and a good pair of tennis shoes! We’ll make you run all around the city to discover our beauty and the most hidden places!

Cultural Tours

Pre-Tour: Euganean Hills tour, visit of a traditional cellar and wine and food tasting

Sunday, July 10th 2022, 03.00 pm

A private bus will take the participants from Padova to the Euganean Hills.

The Euganean Hills stand out unexpectedly in the heart of the Venetian plain with their unmistakable conical volumes. This near-perfect geometry is the result of 40-million years of ancient volcanic phenomena. The uniqueness of the natural environments and the unspoiled nature are accompanied by picturesque historic villages within the Park.
For the tour to be even more satisfying, participants will be taken to one of the wine cellars of the Park, where they will be able to taste Venetian traditional wines and food.

After the end of the Tour, the private bus will take the participants back to Padova.<

Boat Tour of Padua

Tuesday, July 12th 2022, 09.30 am

Once upon a time, people used to move by “gondola”, “burci” and “mascarete” (typical boats) along internal canals. A part from people, they carryied goods of all sorts along waterways and under the bridges.

The private guided tour, suitable for grown-ups as well as kids, will guide the participants from the Historical navigation point of the City “Porte Contarine”. through a quiet and peaceful navigation. From the river, a privileged point of view, participants will discover impotant monuments of the city.

Accompanied walk and guided visit of the Padua famous squares “delle Erbe”, “del Mercato”, “dei Signori” and the Reggia Carrarese quarter. The daily markets in these main squares of Padova are held since medieval times. Here it is possible to find first fruits and traditionl shops.

Scrovegni Chapel

Wednesday, July 13th 2022, 07.30 pm

A unique chance to visit the Scrovegni Chapel, frescoed between 1303 and 1305 by Giotto. The worldwide famous Chapel is a masterpiece in the history of painting in the 14th century, considered to be the most complete series of frescoes executed by Giotto in his mature age. The frescoes cover all the walls of the Chapel with the story of Virgin Mary and Christ and the Last Judgement.

Post-Tour and departure: Venezia

Saturday, July 16th 2022, 10.30 am

Thanks to the proximity with Padova, participants will have the possibility to visit one of the most beautiful and famous cities in Europe: Venezia.

Starting from San Marco Square, you will be accompanied on a walk through alleys, coves and “rii” (narrow canals) until the “gondola” dock in Orseolo Basin. Passing through Palazzo Contarini del Bovolo and its famous staircase, we will reach the Grand Canal, admiring the view of Venetian palaces and the famous Rialto Bridge, up to La Fenice Theater, one of the most important theaters in the world that still nowadays houses important seasons of Opera, Lirica, Symphony and Theater. Back to San Marco we will visit a glass factory, with the explanation of its history and a live demonstration of the famous Venetian blown glass.

The visit ends at the restaurant, where we will taste the delights of Venetian cuisine.

After lunch, participants will have time for individual walks through the charming streets with typical Venetian craftsmanship.
